Eintracht Frankfurt: Alexander Meier takes over U16 in the summer

Currently U21 assistant

“I would like to train my own team next year,” said ex-professional Alexander Meier at the beginning of November about his professional future in the coaching field. The 40-year-old is currently working as an assistant in the second team at his long-standing club Eintracht Frankfurt and it has been clear since Thursday that he will take over the U16s in the summer. For the former striker it is the first station as head coach.

Meier played for Eintracht between 2004 and 2018 and returned to SGE in 2020 after retiring. Since then, the former DFB junior has held several positions as an assistant coach in the youth division at the “Adlers”. It is said that Meier will continue his work as U21 assistant until the end of the season.
