THEL official fashion month dedicated to the Fall-Winter 2023/2024 collections has just closed in Paris. But the great Maisons, from Louis Vuitton to Chanel, they certainly don’t stop with the fashion shows. If right in the afternoon of March 9th Versace will present his collection for the next cold season at Los Angelesthe coming months will all be dedicated to the traveling fashion shows known as Cruise – or Resorts or Cruisewhatever you want.
And there are plenty of appointments to mark on the calendar with itinerant fashion shows dedicated to collections 2024.
Cruise fashion shows: what are they?

The next Cruise 2024 fashion shows around the world
After the controversies that arose during the pandemic – Cruise shows would represent a waste of money, energy and would be unsustainable – the most prominent fashion houses however, they continue to travel for distant destinations, thanks to the renewed sales and growth in some specific markets.
Louis Vuitton on Isola Bella
Leading the way with the most striking announcement in 2023, Louis Vuitton. The French Maison led by Nicolas Ghesquière, artistic director of the women’s collections since 2013, chooses Italy for its next Cruise showexpected on May 24th on one of the jewels of the Belpaese, the mythical Beautiful island in Piedmontfamily emblem Borromeo for over 450 years. A place loved by the Milanese, who often choose Stresa and its micro archipelago as a weekend destination: in fact, they are only a little over 30 kilometers from Milan.

It’s about the first time that Prince Vitaliano XI Borromeo and his wife Marina authorize a fashion show on the ground: in 2004 Isola Bella had hosted the family wedding between Lavinia Borromeo Arese Taverna and John Philip Elkann. Baroque, elegant, dotted with courtyards and with spectacular views of Lake Maggiore: Isola Bella is full of spots suitable for a show of this magnitude, and it seems that the scene of the fashion show will be the sumptuous seventeenth-century building of Palazzo Borromeo with its Gardens. Cruise 2024 will arrive in stores in November 2023; and ahead of the Italian cruise, the brand will also debut with one Pre-Fall collection in late April in Seoul.
Gucci in Seoul
Seoul is also the destination of choice from Gucci for another of the most important appointments on the calendar among the Cruise 2024 fashion shows. The Maison will celebrate its first 25 years in South Korea, one of its fastest growing markets. The show will be held on May 15, 2023: the exact space, as often happens, will be revealed at the last moment – even if the flagship opened in 1998 and its surroundings are highly eligible candidates. In October 2022 the brand had canceled the show Cosmogoniesa replica of the May 2022 parade, which was supposed to be held at Gyeongbokgung Palace on November 1, out of respect for the victims of the Itaewon massacre.

Chanel in Los Angeles
Chanel choose Los Angeles for his Resort fashion show May 9th. California will be the suggestive scenario that will welcome the Cruise collections, sixteen years after the last 2007/2008 show organized by Karl Lagerfeld, then creative director of the Maison: the Kaiser had brought the Cruise collection inside theSanta Monica Airport. All that remains is to see which place Virginie Viard will opt for. In November, the May 2022 show in Monte Carlo was repeated in Miami, Florida.

Max Mara in Stockholm
Among the other Cruise 2024 fashion shows already scheduled, that of the Italian Maison Max Mara. The brand chooses Stockholmin Sweden, to present its Resort 2024 collection: the official date is set for Sunday June 11th 2023. Even for the Reggio fashion house, the exact location remains under strict secrecy.
Carolina Herrera in Rio de Janeiro
Caroline Herrera instead it will fly to Rio de Janeiro with the Resort 2024. The creative director Wes Gordon announces its fashion show1st of June in the Brazilian capital: the first far from his home, New York.
