Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner, Cher, Madonna, Whitney Houston, Britney Spears, Shakira, Jennifer Lopez and Katy Perry will be some of the stars featured in each episode.
On National Geographic’s linear channel, commemorations will take place throughout March 8 with a marathon of themed programming culminating in the 9:00 p.m. premiere of Women of 9/11, a special featuring the women whose lives Changed Forever After 9/11 recount their stories of survival, pain, and redemption in depth.
That day, documentary series starring female figures will also be broadcast, including “Greta: the future is today”, “Frida: viva la vida” and “Akashinga”.
