Telstar loses against FC Eindhoven, one hit appears to be enough

Telstar has not been able to recover from the painful defeat against Heracles Almelo. It became 1-0 at home against FC Eindhoven. Charles-Andreas Brym scored the only goal of the match.

After last week’s hard wash against Heracles Almelo (7-0), coach Mike Snoei had changed his team in two places. That’s how Jay Kruiver started on the bench, his place was taken by Delvechio Blackson. Tom Overtoom was not there due to an injury. Yahya Boussakou was in the base. The first half of the match had few highlights.

From a corner by Sven van Doorm (former Telstar), the ball ended up with Charles-Andreas Brym. He hit behind Ronald Koeman Jr.: 0-1. Moments later, Brym also had the best chance of scoring the second goal of the evening. The attacker came into the box, but pushed the ball in front. The only thing Telstar could do in return was a weak header from Glynor Plet.

Telstar had a great opportunity through Boussakou, but the ball was stolen from his feet. A shot from Ozan Kökcü goes high over. Brym had the chance to decide in injury time, Koeman Jr. held the ball this time. The people of Velsen could do nothing about this.

De Witte Leeuwen remain in tenth place in the first division, although competitors ADO Den Haag and NAC Breda have yet to take action. Next week Roda JC, another competitor, will be the opponent.

Setup Telstar: Koeman; Boussakou (Soares/88), Apau, Aktas (Mulder/65), Oude Kotte, Turfkruier; Najah, Blackson, Giousis (Van den Heerik/80); Plet (Seedorf/65), Min (Blommestijn/80)
