incidents
Match corresponding to the nineteenth day of the ASOBAL Plenitude League played at the Palau Blaugrana in Barcelona in front of 931 spectators.
The objective was clear when the azulgranas stepped onto the parquet of the Virgen de la Cabeza. Win to make up for the defeat suffered last day against ElPozo and consolidate the first position in the standings before the national team break.
But the script did not start in the best way for Barça. The locals entered the game with the lesson learned, printing a high rhythm that Velasco’s men gradually appeased. Even so, when it seemed that the azulgranas arrived with more danger, Viña Albali’s goal arrived. With some luck, and after two rejections, Abbasi hunted the ball to beat Dídac’s goal.
Call of attention for the lightning reaction to arrive of a Barça that barely needed three minutes to turn the score around. Matheus with a left foot opened the account. After that goal, Adolfo’s came to an empty goal and almost straight away, Pito signed the third with a shot that hit a local player before slipping into the back of the net.
The visiting team did not lower the piston after the break and with less than a minute elapsed Lozano made it 1-4. The answer came almost immediately, with a Rafael Rato’s target, served Valdepeñas to stop the blaugrana offensive for a few minutes.
But there was still a final firework. Catela, from an indirect free kick and with a whiplash to the squad, made the fifth of the afternoon and Matheus rounded off the score with his second, already in the 30th minute.
