No hard deadline in the Medenertilsterpolder: controversial nature plan will only go ahead with a visible recovery of meadow birds

That is what deputy Fleur Gräper promised on Wednesday in a committee meeting of the Groningen States. Five opposition parties had requested a debate there in response to the farmers’ revolt against the plans to raise the water level in the Medenertilsterpolder for the godwit and other endangered meadow birds.
