The Dutch skaters finished second in the team pursuit at the World Cup competitions in Poland. Joy Beune, Elisa Dul and Robin Groot came to 3:01.74. With that they were only slower than Olympic champion Canada, which won in 3:00.97.

The Dutch trio won the race against the United States, which finished third with 3:04.01. Canada was then slightly faster in the stage against Japan. The skaters finished third in the team pursuit behind Norway and the United States the day before.

The Netherlands rode with an occasional trio due to the lack of many big names. Afterwards, however, national coach Ritsma indicated that he was quite satisfied with the team and it was not excluded that this composition will make an appearance again in the distant future.
