A local police officer in Eindhoven saw this week how a drug dealer wanted to get rid of his drugs quickly during a chase. The dealer dumped a bag of cocaine at an elementary school on the way. The local police officer followed the dealer and eventually managed to arrest him.
Due to drug nuisance in the neighborhood, a community police officer in Woensel patrolled as inconspicuously as possible. He and his colleague went into the neighborhood on an electric bicycle and initially saw a woman standing on Karel Doormanstraat.
“Shivering from the cold, wearing only a t-shirt, sweatpants and flip flops. Impatiently she made several phone calls, we thought with her dealer, so we waited patiently,” says the community police officer on social media.
A few minutes later a dealer appears, also on an electric bicycle. The police officers see how narcotics are being sold. They want to arrest the dealer, but the man manages to escape. The chase is on, a little further on the dealer grabs the drugs from his pocket while cycling and throws it away, at a primary school.
A little further on he surrenders, not knowing that the dumping of the drugs has been seen. “He is convinced of his successful flight and says: ‘I have done nothing and I have no drugs.’ The latter is correct, I have now picked up the drugs.”
The man was arrested and the drugs seized. This also applies to 1200 euros that the man had in his pocket.
