Dutch photographer and director Anton Corbijn and British synth pop and new wave group Depeche Mode have been collaborating regularly since 1981. In 2020 a limited illustrated book with pictures from 1981 to 2018 was published, which has now been reissued.

On more than 500 pictures you get some private impressions of the band with some handwritten notes by the photographer. The volume is currently heavily reduced on the side of the TASCHEN Verlag to purchase, such as the Facebook page of “Depeche Mode Monument“ is to be taken from.

Corbijn first directed a Depeche Mode music video for “A Question Of Time” in 1986. More videos followed and he also designed the stage design, cover and lettering and is responsible for numerous photographs. As art director, he significantly shaped the aesthetics and popularity of the band.

Depeche Mode celebrated their breakthrough in 1981, including with “Just Can’t Get Enough” on the record SPEAK AND SPELL. Her singles box set for PLAYING THE ANGEL was released in November 2022, her current album SPIRIT was released in 2017. Its successor MEMENTO MORI is scheduled for release in March 2023. A world tour will follow from May to July of this year. On July 7th and 9th they will play in the Olympic Stadium in Berlin.
