HSV election postponed after “controversial discussions”.

“Controversy” at HSV: The eagerly awaited general meeting of the Hamburger SV football team on Thursday remained without a result in the central item on the agenda.

As the club announced, the election of the new supervisory board has been postponed. This means that the control body will remain in office in its current composition under the leadership of eV President Marcell Jansen until the next general meeting.

The next meeting will take place soon. Until then, the selection of candidates for the control committee will be intensively discussed again and coordinated internally. “I see this decision as a good compromise because we are approaching each other,” said Jansen.

Actually, Stephan von Bülow and Henrik Köncke should move to the control committee on Thursday. They should replace Andreas Peters and the currently only woman, Lena Schrum. According to media reports, the shareholders and the Supporters Club had demanded the dismissal of Detlef Dinsel, who had been accused of having too little connection to Hamburg and HSV and having too little expertise.

“We had a lot of controversial discussions that should ultimately lead to a positive result for HSV,” said Jansen. Concrete results of the meeting: The actions of the AG board of directors were approved for the 2021/22 financial year and the topic of sustainability is to be anchored in the AG statutes.
