After the fatal attack on a fan of the Bundesliga soccer club Hertha BSC, the Berlin public prosecutor’s office brought charges against a 24-year-old Rostocker before the regional court.

After Hertha’s relegation game against Hamburger SV on May 19, 2022, the man is said to have knocked down a 55-year-old Hertha fan near the Olympic Stadium, who fell and suffered fatal head injuries as a result.
