Olli Määttä talks about Detroit’s season

The Detroit Red Wings are reaching for the player line.

Olli Määttä plays a good season in his new club Detroit Red Wings: 44 games, 15 (4+11) points.

Määttä, 28, played the last two seasons at LA King and scored a total of only 12 points.

– I have adapted really well and I like the way we play, he told Iltalehti.

– We are doing well here.

Määtta played big minutes in the fall, often more than 20 minutes in the evening, but as the season has gotten older, the ice time has decreased. The average for the entire season is just over 18 minutes per game.

The power statistic shows four plus degrees. About the Red Wings name packs Ben Chiarot (-19) and Moritz Seider (-13) are brutally cold, as are Määtä’s recent couple Gustav Lindström (-10).

Määtta has scored all his points evenly. There has only been a more effective equalizing power pack in the team Filip Hronek.

“It happens”

The Red Wings are still in the fight for a playoff spot. Määttä and his partners left for the all-star game break with a nasty loss to the NY Islanders competing for the same places.

– We have had ups and downs, Määttä sums up.

– It feels like we’ve lost games that shouldn’t have been lost, but it hurts.
