Kieran Trippier has extended his contract with Newcastle United until June 2025. “I’ve enjoyed every moment of representing this great club and I’m looking forward to continuing to give everything I can,” said the 32-year-old right-back via Twitter after signing. Coach Eddie Howe sees the extension as “a fitting reward for the season he’s had”.
Trippier switched from Atlético Madrid to Newcastle in January 2022 for 14 million euros. In the current 2022/23 season, the veteran was in the starting eleven in every Premier League game. With 2,143 minutes across all competitions, the Englishman is the outfield player with the most playing time for the “Magpies”.
