Unbeaten in the Premier League for almost five months, but out in both cup competitions: England’s leaders FC Arsenal have also been eliminated from the FA Cup. After losing the League Cup, the Londoners lost 0-1 (0-0) at Manchester City in the fourth round on Friday evening.
Nathan Ake (65th) scored the decisive goal for the Skyblues, who entered the round of 16 with ex-Bielefeld Stefan Ortega in goal. The Gunners, record FA Cup winners and five points ahead of Man City in the league, were eliminated in the EFL Cup in November by a 3-1 home defeat by Brighton & Hove Albion.
In the Europa League, on the other hand, Arsenal are still in the running, in the Premier League there is only one defeat – on September 4th with 1: 3 at Manchester United.
