Pants manufacturer Brax exceeded its own sales expectations last year.
Leineweber GmbH & Co. KG ended 2022 with a turnover of 303 million euros. This corresponds to an increase of 20 percent compared to the previous year.
“We held our ground in a difficult environment and are very proud of this great team effort. Overall, we are very happy with the year,” said Brax Managing Director Marc Freyberg in a statement on Friday.
Frequencies lower than before Corona
The wholesale business has developed well for Brax, especially internationally. According to Freyberg, the stop in business with Russia after the start of the Ukraine war was more than compensated for in terms of sales by other markets.
The company’s own retail business in stores and online has also developed well. According to the announcement, the company has exceeded its own expectations in stationary retail, although the frequencies are still below the pre-pandemic level. In the online business, sales in 2022 were the same as in the previous year, but were still 66 percent higher than in 2019.
