Last night, asteroid 2023 BU brushed past Earth, about 3,600 kilometers away. That’s 10 times closer than the many communications satellites orbiting our planet. The space rock, about the size of a delivery truck, flew past the southernmost point of South America at about 1:27 a.m. our time.
