United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres has criticized the international financial system, including the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF). “The current system was created by a group of rich countries. And of course it is mainly the rich countries that benefit from it,” said the Portuguese on Monday in Geneva on the sidelines of the UN conference to help Pakistan after last year’s floods.
