Warlop has a new team and will assist youngsters at Soudal Quick-Step Devo Team
Warlop was crowned the new Belgian champion in beach racing at the end of last year in Bredene. But after the collapse of his French road team B&B Hotels-KTM, it was uncertain what the future held. The Soudal Quick-Step Devo Team, where young cyclists are prepared for the real work, is now throwing a lifebuoy.
Jordi Warlop is an experienced rider who has ridden for various high-level teams. “A crash in the middle of 2022 ended his season. Now that Jordi is fully fit again, Soudal Quick-Step Devo will use his experience to guide some of the younger riders on the team and look forward to some strong performances.”
Warlop is looking forward to his new adventure. “I’m really excited. I grew up and still live in West Flanders, so I know what it means to ride for Soudal Quick-Step. I’m looking forward to helping some of the younger riders in the team, but also to prove my good condition and to show that I have fully recovered from my crash.”
