FC striker in rehab
1. FC Köln’s Sebastian Andersson has reacted angrily to doubts expressed by coach Steffen Baumgart about his return to the pitch. “I don’t understand why he feels the need to say something like that,” Andersson wrote to the Swedish online medium “Photobolls channels“. Baumgart had previously told the “Express” that it would be difficult to see the 31-year-old Swede, who has been out for months due to knee problems, on the pitch again.
Andersson, who has been playing for Cologne since September 2020, contradicted this. “I’m training in my rehab and definitely expect to be playing football again soon,” the center forward wrote in his message. The Swede scored eight goals for Cologne in 47 competitive games. But he hasn’t played a competitive game in nine months.
