All of Brazil stops today when a soccer legend Pele blessed to rest in the grave.
Passed away last week at the age of 82 Edson Arantes do Nascimento i.e. Pelé will be buried in his hometown of Santos.
The ceremony is supposed to start in the afternoon Finnish time. Before that, Brazilians will have the opportunity to bid farewell to the legend at the Santos football team’s home field, where Pelé’s casket has been brought.
Hundreds of thousands of Brazilians have done this. A three-day period of mourning was declared in the country after Pelé’s death.
Having won three world championships in his career, Pelé is generally considered the world’s best player of all time. His influence on the popularity of football is unmatched.
