**** Glory and praise to Sylvester Stallone. How can we not applaud his performance as a mafia boss who, after 25 years in prison for not ratting out the family, is banished to Tulsa. Oklahoma, city of religion, country and desert?
Created by taylor sheridan (the brain of yellowstonebut also the screenwriter of that great modern western called Nothing to losewith Chris Pine and Jeff Bridges), tells the rise of a gangster with a lot of humor, although it is clear that the journey from the urban (the gangster) to the rural (Oklahoma) will also have tragic overtones.
But let’s go with Stallone: he does everything right. He plays tough, cool, genius. Seductive, emotional, old fox. Sometimes many of these things at the same time, with an ability that many (perhaps only connoisseurs of the stammering Rocky and Rambo, absolute myths) did not believe him.
