The Marktplein in Loppersum is deserted, but a little further on in the health food store De Guldenroede, people are constantly coming and going. The store will be open for the last time this Friday. Regular customers come to say goodbye to owner Anja Dijkstra (41) and stock up on organic, local groceries. Soon they will have to go (again) to Winsum, Groningen or Delfzijl.
