Corona-related game cancellation in the Handball Bundesliga: The league game between TSV Hannover-Burgdorf and HSV Hamburg scheduled for Thursday will not take place.
HSV announced this on Monday. Due to several corona cases in the team, Hannover made use of a special regulation for the first match day after the European Championship (at least six players tested positive), the game will be postponed.
Hannover submitted a corresponding application to the league, and according to its own club announcement, HSV was informed of this on Monday afternoon.
Normally, the game must be played when at least half of the team is ready. This rule will come into effect again next week.
