It was seven beautiful weeks for Diede van den Heuvel from Someren, but now she really has to say goodbye to K3. Diede was the temporary replacement for the pregnant Hanne, but she has now given birth and so the adventure definitely ends here for her. “I wouldn’t have wanted to miss it,” she says.
In a full theater in Breda, Diede was on stage for the last time with Marthe and Julia. “It’s hard that this was the last show, because you build a good bond in such a short time,” she says. “But I am very happy that I was able to experience all this. It really is a dream come true.”
“Now that I’ve tasted what it’s like to be K3, it’s an even bigger disappointment.”
Diede lost the quest K2 seeks K3 on November 27 last year. Although she was the big favourite, not she, but Julia became Klaasje Meijer’s successor. The fact that Diede has to say goodbye again a little over a year later gives her mixed feelings. “This was what I secretly always hoped for, but that was after K2 is looking for K3. So that I was given this opportunity at all is a great honor. But now that I’ve tasted what it’s like to be K3, it’s an even bigger disappointment that it ends.”
Nevertheless, the Somerse remains positive and reveals that new doors will open soon. She cannot yet say whether that is at Studio100. “I will now first take a rest and then focus on my solo career. Who knows, that’s at Studio100, who knows somewhere else. But you will hear that soon.”
