Ex-BVB striker Erling Haaland breaks the 20-goal mark in an away win in Leeds

The English champions Manchester City came out of the World Cup break well thanks to ex-BVB star Erling Haaland in the Premier League.

The Norwegian scored twice in 3-1 (1-0) at Leeds United (51st, 64th) – it was his number 19 and 20 goals in the 14th Premier League game. City reduced the gap to leaders Arsenal to five points.

Rodri (45+1) put Pep Guardiola’s team ahead just before the break. Dutchman Pascal Struijk was only able to score the goal after 73 minutes for Leeds.

The now 22-year-old Haaland was born in Leeds, his father Alf-Inge had played for the Peacocks between 1997 and 2000 before moving to ManCity himself.
