The Eisbären Berlin lost 4-2 at ERC Ingolstadt in the German Ice Hockey League on Boxing Day.

In the German Ice Hockey League (DEL), the Eisbären Berlin once again failed to win two games in a row for the first time since October. Three days after the home win against Bietigheim, the defending champion lost 4-2 at ERC Ingolstadt on Boxing Day.

Friedrich gave Ingolstadt an early lead, but Noebels equalized in the first period, and 19-year-old Heim put the Eisbären ahead in the 30th minute.

But 33 seconds before the end of the middle period, Bertrand scored the 2:2, and in the final section a “double strike” by Marshall and Höfflin brought the decision for the ERC, which climbed to second place in the table.
