The federal prosecutor’s office has launched new searches in the European Parliament in its investigation into the corruption scandal in which it is suspected that the Gulf state of Qatar transferred significant sums of money to influence decision-making in the hemisphere. The computer resources of 10 parliamentary assistants were seized during the house search on Monday, according to the public prosecutor’s office.
