The old Vismijn site Zeebrugge will become a trendy meeting place

“The four existing blocks will be given a new purpose and will become a trendy experience site,” says Alderman for Spatial Planning Franky Demon.

“The bouldering hall is already a good example. Adventurers can let off steam to their heart’s content. Unlike a normal climbing gym, the walls here are only four meters high, so there is no hassle with ropes.”

Attractive for walking

In addition to recreation, there will also be small commercial and catering establishments and offices. The trade and catering industry will be located on the side of the promenade, so that the Vismijnstraat will once again become attractive for walking. The facades to the water are reopened.

The site must become an attractive, hip place that can appeal to tourists and families with children.
