André Hazes jr. receives a heavy blow from fellow singer Wesly Bronkhorst. He thinks that the Hazes descendant is acting very exaggerated. “A ring on your hand is nice, but not on all your fingers.”
Wesly Bronkhorst, a semi-famous singer, is deeply in the shadow of his famous colleague André Hazes jr. Yet he does not look up to the Hazes descendant. “I have known Dreetje for a long time. I think he is a little bit eccentric,” he says in an interview with the Weekend.
Hand full of rings
It is a pity that André has lost himself so, Wesly thinks. He points out that the singer plays a role. “With those rings and chains, I don’t think he’s quite like that. I mean, you can wear one necklace, but not four. And a ring on your hand is nice, but not on all your fingers.”
He says it’s mainly an image thing. “Maybe he wants to portray himself in a certain way. But why? That is not necessary,” he says. He quickly adds: “Other than that I just love that guy.”
Sneak at Tino
André is not the only colleague with star allures, says Wesly. He also points to Tino Martin. For a long time he was friends with Tino, but now that he is so famous, he no longer hears from him. “It’s not a friend anymore. Otherwise he would have been to my 40th birthday on Sunday. But it does not matter.”
He continues: “I think if he had been a bricklayer, things would have turned out differently. Then we would certainly have been buddies and continued on the same footing. We could read and write with each other and again: we laughed a lot together. But it’s okay. At least, well… It’s a pity, we were gabbers.”
René Froger still wants to be seen with Wesly:
