VfL Wolfsburg canceled the contract with the retired attacker on Monday. The 34-year-old former international was sorted out by coach Niko Kovac in early September and has not played a game for the “Wolves” since then. The VfL officials accused him of a lack of professionalism and a bad influence on the rest of the team.

As the “picturereported, the attacker, whose contract with VfL originally ran until the end of the season, collects a severance payment of 1 million euros. At his second stop in Wolfsburg, Kruse scored seven goals in 19 games. “It’s not like I’ve been without a club for six months now. The transfer period will start again in a month,” Kruse looked ahead.
