Michael Beale is the new team manager of the Scottish football record champions Glasgow Rangers, succeeding Giovanni van Bronckhorst, who was sacked last week. This was announced by the Rangers on Monday.
The 42-year-old Beale was previously the coach of the English second division club Queens Park Rangers, where he only hired in the summer and signed a contract until 2025.
Rangers had parted ways with van Bronckhorst nine points adrift of arch-rivals Celtic.
The former Dutch national team captain had guided Rangers to the Europa League final last season, where they lost to Eintracht Frankfurt on penalties.
