Football star Tom Brady suffered a bitter defeat with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in his first NFL appearance after returning from the premiere in Munich.
In the US professional league, the team around the seven-time Super Bowl champion lost 17:23 after overtime to the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.
Cleveland equalized just before the end of regular time to 17:17 and forced overtime. Nick Chubb scored the touchdown to win. 14 days ago, Tampa won the first NFL game on German soil in the Allianz Arena against the Seattle Seahawks (21:16). This was followed by a free weekend for both clubs. Brady threw two touchdown passes in Cleveland and the Bucs now have five wins and six losses.
German-American Equanimeous St. Brown and the Chicago Bears faced great odds. First regular quarterback Justin Fields was out with a shoulder injury, then substitute Trevor Siemian developed muscle problems while warming up and also had to pass. With number three Nathan Peterman, the Bears lost 10:31 at the New York Jets.
