The shoe retailer Deichmann SE has hired a new person to be responsible for its growth strategy in Germany. On Wednesday, at the request of FashionUnited, the company confirmed that Falk Deckstein had been appointed Head of Expansion for the German market. The specialist magazine Textilwirtschaft (TW) had previously reported on the personnel decision.
The 44-year-old came from the real estate company ECE, where he had worked since 2009. Deckstein most recently held the post of Head of Department Fashion & Shoes at ECE Marketplaces. In his new position at Deichmann, he will now report directly to Kai Szopinski, Head of Expansion.
