Hardly any missions under Kovac
Luca Waldschmidt was one of the disappointments and disappointments at VfL Wolfsburg in the first half of the season. Under the new coach Niko Kovac, the offensive player only played eight games with 322 minutes of play in all competitions and was not involved in a goal. No wonder that Waldschmidt could therefore face the jump. As the “Picture” reported, the attacker is allowed to leave the “Wolves” in winter. And the 26-year-old should be a hot candidate for TSG 1899 Hoffenheim.

The Kraichgauer are therefore interested in buying Waldschmidt and thus committing him firmly. Those responsible at TSG, who are looking for offensive reinforcements, are convinced that they can help the professional to regain his old strength. The required transfer fee is a problem. Waldschmidt, for whom Wolfsburg paid a transfer fee of 12 million euros in August 2021, should recoup at least half of that amount in order to keep the Lower Saxony’s negative business within limits, it is said.
