Striking images show how injured Jason (23) is allowed to leave hospital after stabbing in Brussels and is met by hundreds of colleagues | Inland

Around 3 pm it was completely quiet around the hospital in Jette. Nobody went in, nobody went out. Remarkably, about 300 police officers and first aiders gathered at the exit of the hospital. They formed a guard of honor after which 23-year-old Jason walked outside. Applause erupted and the young police officer was patted amicably by some on the back. Jason, accompanied by relatives, was clearly moved by the massive presence of his colleagues.

After the deadly stabbing in Brussels, there is a lot of support and fraternity among the police officers. For example, all ranks and units were present when Jason was allowed to leave the hospital: from inspectors, over traffic cops to detectives and special intervention units. Firefighters and ambulance personnel also stood between the honorary hedge. And everyone clap their hands equally loudly.
