The German football professional Jakob Johnson regards the duel between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and superstar quarterback Tom Brady against the Seattle Seahawks as a strong pairing for the NFL debut in Germany.

“What a gift to the German fans to see live one of the most historically successful players in his position, a name that will be associated with football for the rest of football history,” said the Stuttgart native of the “Deutsche press agency”.

Johnson plays for the Las Vegas Raiders. He was also previously with the New England Patriots when Brady was still playing for the team with which he won six of his seven Super Bowls. At the time, he always asked Brady that he absolutely had to come to Germany, Johnson said. He is sure that the 45-year-old will have a good time in Munich.

Munich will host the first NFL game in Germany on Sunday (3:30 p.m.). The state capital of Bavaria will share three more main round games in the world’s best football league with Frankfurt over the next three years.
