The income of the top medalists in summer sports in 2021 was moderate.

Matti Mattsson swim Olympic bronze in Tokyo in the summer of 2021. According to fresh tax data, his income in the medal year was not fireworks.
Mattsson earned 12,921 euros. In addition, he received a medium-sized coaching and training grant of 10,000 euros from the Ministry of Education and Culture.
Mira Potkonen, another Finnish bronze medalist in Tokyo, earned 26,804 euros and received capital gains of 2,113 euros. In addition, he received a large coaching and training grant of 20,000 euros from the Ministry of Education and Culture.

Like the Olympic heroes, the income of last summer’s EC medalists in athletics in 2021 was moderate. Top Raitanen earned 74,101 euros, Lassi Etelätalo 29,447 euros, Wilma Murto 28,915 euros and Kristiina Mäkelä 19,733 euros.
Of Raitanen’s euro amount, the share of capital income was 14,982 euros, Murro’s 2269 euros and Etelätalo’s 318 euros.
The entire yu quartet was covered by a training and internship grant from the Ministry of Education and Culture. Raitanen, Mäkelä and Etelätalo received 20,000 euros, Murto 10,000 euros.
