It was announced on Saturday that Aaron Carter was dead. The musician, who rose to fame as a child star and the younger brother of Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter in the ’90s, has died at the age of 34. An official cause of death is not yet publicly known. Carter was considered a drug addict.
His twin sister Angel has now publicly commented on her brother’s death via Instagram. She wrote:
“To my twin… I loved you beyond measure. You will be missed dearly. My funny, sweet Aaron, I have so many memories of you and I, and I promise to cherish them. I know you’re at peace now. I will carry you with me until the day I die and get to see you again.”
She also posted baby and toddler photos of herself and Aaron Carter:
Aaron Carter was found dead in his bathtub with no evidence of outside interference.
His first album AARON CARTER reached gold status in Germany, the follow-up AARON’S PARTY (COME GET IT) triple platinum status in the USA. Carter appeared as the opening act for the Backstreet Boys and Britney Spears. He then tried his hand at rap and acting. According to his own statement, he suffered from anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, multiple personality disorder and manic depression. His son Prince was born about a year ago. Carter’s sister Leslie died of a drug overdose in 2012 at the age of 25. Angel and Nick Carter ordered Aaron not to contact them and to stay away from them.
