The Senate approves the bill for the Recovery Operation Allowances Act.
Now that the Senate has approved the Bill for Recovery Operation Allowances on 1 November, the child benefit scheme can also start.
State Secretary for Finance, Allowances and Customs Aukje de Vries: “This is good news. Kids are really looking forward to this. It is great that we can give the children and young people an extra helping hand.”
Child arrangement
The government believes it is important that aggrieved parents and their children receive recognition and that they can once again look more closely at the future.
State Secretary De Vries: “This is also really important for the parents. Parents have also indicated to me that supporting their children is important.”
Now that the Senate has also approved the law, the implementation of the child arrangement can really start. All preparations have been made for this in recent months. The child scheme has been established with the help of children and young people of parents who have had to deal with the childcare allowance affair.
Cash amount and support
In addition to a sum of money intended as a helping hand, the child scheme also consists of help and broad support from their municipality. For example, young people can get help with money management or with their personal development. Parents and children will receive a letter as soon as possible containing information about the child scheme and the payment of the amount of money. The children and young people do not have to register themselves for this.
Health care allowance, housing allowance and child budget
Another part of the bill is the arrangement for victims of health care allowance, housing allowance or child budget. Victims of these other allowances are eligible for an allowance. They do not have to register themselves for this. The aim is to implement these regulations in the 2e to be launched in the quarter of 2023.
Existing schemes
The bill includes existing arrangements for victims in the recovery operation, such as the arrangement that ensures that victims receive € 30,000, receive help in dealing with their debts and can turn to their municipality for broad help.
