North Korea is trying to conceal supplies of artillery ammunition through other countries in the Middle East, National Security Council communications director John Kirby said Wednesday. “We will continue to verify that the deliveries actually arrive.”
It is a “significant amount” of ammunition, but the US government does not believe that these supplies could influence the course of the war, Kirby said.
They just show how much North Korea is willing to support Russia. It also points to Russia’s lack of military equipment, Kirby said.
The White House declined to say how the shipment would work, or whether the US or other countries would try to block shipments to Russia.
