Good news for Marina Knipa from Veldhoven and the people who use her cupboard with free groceries. At the beginning of this week the shopping cabinet was destroyed, but on Wednesday a brand new one was placed at Marina’s front door. After she told her story to Omroep Brabant, a company gave her a brand new cabinet.
“Yes, that’s really crazy,” Marina says enthusiastically. “Through you I was approached by the company CW Workwear and they immediately brought a new wardrobe. So sweet, I was completely silent.”
The sharing cabinet is intended for less fortunate people in Veldhoven who can get groceries from it for free. But to her horror, Marina saw on Tuesday that one of the doors had been smashed, rendering the cupboard unusable. With crowdfunding she hoped to raise 100 euros for a new cabinet, but that action is no longer necessary.
“There is now a beautiful cupboard in the garden, one that does not break easily. It can be locked at night and also fits my blue front door,” says Marina proudly. The company also added a voucher worth 100 euros worth of groceries. Eleven other owners of a shared cabinet in Veldhoven can also count on a new cabinet from the company. Marina: “I am very grateful and I really have no words for it.”
The crowdfunding that started earlier raised 250 euros. Marina will now use that money for groceries to fill the cupboard again.
