The Colorado Avalanche, who will meet the Columbus Blue Jackets this weekend in Tampere, have gotten to know Finnish culture this week.

On Tuesday, the stars of Avalanche went to sauna in Löyly, located in Helsinki’s Hernesaari. The club released a video from the boards, in which a Finnish striker acts as a sauna master Artturi Lehkonen.

– We are looking for ways to stay warm! Colorado wrote on his Twitter account.

In the video, Lehkonen stands next to the stove and sings a traditional sauna song, originally derived from the Russian Katyusha. Every time the Finnish striker shouted “hey!”, he threw more slop into the stove.

Teammates rhythmically clapped along.

Throwing a sledgehammer and the heat were not to everyone’s liking, as some of the players covered their faces with their hands. Mikko Rantanen in turn smiled widely and clapped along.

Lehkonen threw eight times during the approximately one-minute long video. At the end of the video, the four players left the sauna in a hurry.

– Ouch! someone shouted at the end of the lap.

If the video does not appear, you can watch its here.

Avalanche already published a video on Tuesday of the players swimming in the cold water of the Baltic Sea after a sauna.

The Blue Jackets, on the other hand, got to know the sights of Helsinki and were accompanied by a comedian Ismo Leikolan gig.

The teams will meet each other in Tampere on Friday and Saturday.
