Rob Kemps only wants to join the talk show Today Inside when ‘all the hectic is over’. That has the discredited entertainer to know to host Wilfred Genee.
SBS 6 star Rob Kemps has come under quite a lot of fire for making it seem like he’s not as much fun in real life as he appears on television. “There is clearly a Rob in front of the scenes and behind the scenes”, none other than Miljuschka Witzenhausen remarked mercilessly in RTL Boulevard.
Rob still angry?
It all started when Rob started calling around furiously in Hilversum last Monday when he heard that René van der Gijp wanted to mock him in Today Inside. Wilfred’s invitation to just drop by on the talk show has led nowhere for the time being.
Wilfred last night in VI: “The most important question after this weekend, many people want to know: did Rob Kemps still get angry this weekend?”
René: “Er, I don’t think Rob Kemps is angry at the moment.”
‘After all the hectic’
Wilfred: “No, huh? Not even on you?”
Johan Derksen: “No, but I have never had a fight with Rob Kemps.”
Wilfred: “No, in fact: I had Rob on the app today…”
Dinner guest Özcan Akyol: “Oh yeah? You now text each other every week.”
Wilfred: “No, I asked Rob again if he’s out and coming over. Rob has said, ‘I’m coming over.’ But he also says that he wants to let all the hectic blow over for a while.”
‘Overdone!’
What an exaggeration, say the stars of VI. “Which hectic?” says Johan.
Wilfred: “Well, about being angry.”
René laughing: “There is no hectic!”
Johan: “What is this about? Its about nothing.”
Özcan: “There’s a message every day now that he might be a terrible boy, which I don’t think is right, but okay. But he will come when the hectic blows over?”
Wilfred: “Yes, he says: ‘Once the hectic pace is over, great. You can even get the images of Chansons from yesterday.’”
René: “Yes, I didn’t watch yesterday. I’m not allowed to take pictures, then I won’t look anymore. Was this the last Chansons? Damn, then I missed him. Then I’ll check it out tomorrow.”
Afraid of delivery person
Özcan recently had Rob as a guest in Sterren op het Doek. How did it go? “For example, Rob said: ‘Eus, sometimes I’m at home and the bell rings. Then it is a parcel deliverer or something, but then I immediately dive away. Then I dive behind the couch.’ I said, ‘Then why?’ He says: ‘I don’t feel like people coming home to me unannounced.’”
Johan is now beginning to find it worrying: “That is not good.”
Özcan: “No.”
René: “Some people go completely crazy, don’t they, Eus? They’re getting completely off track, dude.”
