In a brand new episode of “Brood en Speelen” reporter Thomas Brood spends an evening with the rugby players of RFC Haarlem. The evening starts with a few tough tackles, and ends in a special way.

Reporter Thomas Brood was welcomed with open arms by the team that just missed the national championship last year. The training was divided into several parts. The team started with a tackle practice, after which they also worked on match tactics and fitness.

Catching the ball

The reporter from NH Sport did his best, but found the rugby training not at all easy. “I never knew catching a ball was so difficult. Rugby is not such a clumsy sport as I thought, it is tactical,” he concluded after the tough training.

After a training of more than two hours, Brood wants to drink beer. “You have to go into the ice bath first,” concludes trainer Mike Panoho.
