As written by the “Rolling Stones” magazine in recent days, Kyrie advertised the film, based on a book, entitled “From hebrews to negroes: wake up America”, or “from Jews to blacks: wake up America”, full of phrases anti-Semitic. Brooklyn franchise owner Joe Tsai reacts quickly: “I am disappointed that Irving seems to be promoting a film based on a book full of anti-Semitic disinformation. The film, however, is not recent, but it was released in theaters in 2018, while the writing is three years earlier. The Nets also wanted to make their voices heard with a statement: “The Brooklyn Nets strongly condemn and do not tolerate the promotion of any form of verbal violence.
