The MSV Duisburg soccer team celebrated their first home win of the season in the Bundesliga. The newly promoted team beat 1. FC Köln somewhat happily 2-1 (0-0) and climbed up to seventh place in the table with seven points, directly behind FC (9).
Cologne missed the provisional jump to third place due to the third away bankruptcy. A double strike from Miray Cin (68th) and Dörthe Hoppius (72nd) made the decision in the NRW duel at the start of the 6th matchday. Sarah Puntigam’s (81st) goal was no longer enough for the Cologne team.
