FC Marlène seemed to be on its way to an easy win against fellow provincial VNS United tonight. Nothing turned out to be less true, as snow in the sun, the Heerhugowaarders saw their large lead disappear. Robin Kwakman also made a hat-trick on behalf of Volendam, ASV Lebo won big and HV Veerhuys was unable to convince.
FC Marlène thought it was going to be an easy evening when Mo Attaibi and Stefan Dol quickly scored in the match. Amir Molkarai even made the third goal in the first half.
However, some sloppiness helped VNS United in the saddle. In the second half, the team from Amsterdam even came back to 3-3. In the final phase, the PhD student tried to make the winner, but VNS was again empty-handed due to an own goal.
Hat trick Robin Kwakman
Mid-engine RKAV Volendam had a rough evening in Amersfoort against Leekster Eagles. After falling behind, Robin Kwakman and Kik Braspenning gave the Volendam team the lead again. In the second half it was an even battle until the 4-3. In the end Kwakman determined the final score at 6-3 with two goals.
Three-pointer in Eindhoven
ASV Lebo had an easy evening against ZVV Eindhoven. Before the break, the team from Amsterdam scored twice. After the break, trainer Zaid El Morabiti’s men ran out to 6-0. This victory keeps Lebo in line with leaders FC Eindhoven and Hoornse Hovocubo.
HV Veerhuys started the seventh league game well. Thanks to goals from Jesse Koeman and Nigel Wijdenbosch, Veerhuys was resting on roses. Soon after the interruption, however, AGOVV turned the deficit into a 3-2 lead. In the absolute final phase, AGOVV made the last goal of the evening: 4-2.
Hovocubo did not play, because the national champion plays in Malta for the Champions League. They will close the group stage against Dobovec tomorrow. Their league match will be made up on November 11 against BE’79.
