The sentence of the security guard who planned to kill Sánchez rises to eight and a half years in prison

The Appeals Chamber of the National High Court has increased from seven and a half years to eight years and nine months in prison the penalty imposed on security guard who proposed through WhatsApp to kill the president of the Government, Peter Sanchez.

In a ruling made public this Thursday, the magistrates of the Appeals Chamber uphold the appeal of the Prosecutor’s Office for legal infraction at the time of imposing the sentences and increase by fifteen months the initial sentence of seven years and six months imposed on the accused, Manuel Murillo, by the Fourth Section of the Criminal Chamber for crimes of homicide in proposition degree and weapons of war depot.

According to the new sentence, the sentence is increased for the felony proposition murder up to 3 years and 9 months in prison (compared to the initial two years and six months) and the five years in prison for depositing weapons of war are maintained.
