Man died after becoming unwell along Toekomstlaan in Oostduinkerke

According to the prosecutor’s office, the driver of the car that drove into the canal became unwell. Witnesses saw how the man deviated from his track section and came to a stop next to the roadway in the canal. The fire brigade took the man out of the vehicle and the MUG service of the hospital of Veurne tried to resuscitate the man, which was no longer successful. He died on the spot.

No third parties were involved in the accident. Due to the accident, there was alternating traffic for a while.
