In its eighteenth edition, “The museum night”, more than 230 historical and artistic, public and private spaces will be part of the programming. The event will take place on Saturday, October 22. This year the axis will be on the need to reverse climate change, for this reason the proposal of the museums will be focused on exhibitions and activities related to art and nature, climate situation, environment and sustainability, supporting awareness of the issues addressed. by C40 Global Mayors Summit.
Organized by the Government of the City of Buenos Aires, the cultural event of the year will be a moment of celebration in which museums, emblematic buildings and cultural spaces throughout the city will open their doors in the evening hours, with free admission. The activities begin at 7:00 p.m. and end at 2:00 a.m., in a seven-hour circuit, in which you can tour and breathe the culture of Buenos Aires.
“Continuing in the spirit of C40, this year the Night of the Museums will focus on one of the greatest challenges of our time: the fight against climate change. This fight commits us all, and also to culture, which is why we are waiting for you with free exhibitions and activities in all communes, artist installations and workshops linked to sustainability. We are waiting for you to enjoy the magic of culture on the most anticipated night by all”, said the head of the Government of the city of Buenos Aires, Horacio Rodriguez Larreta.
As in previous editions, public transport is added to the proposal so that the interested party can move throughout the city. Among the options is the Buenos Aires Museum, which will have Mafalda Already Cinchona as protagonists.
